Hunger is No One's Fault

And second, the Depression made very visible that hunger could happen to anyone, even if a person did everything right. Hunger was not the result of any individual’s moral failings, choices, or behavior.

The American public began to demand government intervention, a demand that led to the election of Franklin Delano Roosevelt into office as President.
